Bill Watson's Arlington National Cemetery Funeral (Arlington, VA)

As anyone who has seen my photos knows, I like to capture happy, somewhat silly moments. When I pick up my camera, I gravitate towards motion and laughter - random expressions of joy. That's my comfort zone.

But, lately, I've tried to challenge myself. So when a friend and client asked me to photograph her father's funeral at Arlington National Cemetery I (of course) said yes (what an honor).

And I'm really proud of how the photos came out. I never had the pleasure of meeting Bill Watson, but he was clearly an amazing individual, loved and missed by family and friends.
