November Wedding at the Alexandrian Hotel (Old Town Alexandria, VA)/ Kim & Sue

Kim and Sue's nuptials were the last wedding I photographed in the fall. And as far as finales go, I couldn't have hoped for a better one. There are some people you meet in life who fill all rooms with kindness and goodwill. And (in this case) laughter as well. The love Kim and Sue have for each other, combined with the love they give to everyone around them, is an amazing thing to be feel. 

Halfway through the dancing, Kim's grown sons gave a spontaneous toast about how much their mom and stepmom influenced them. And Sue's high school age son was full of smiles the whole night (plus, he taught me the dab).

As a mom of three young kids, seeing how much Kim and Sue's sons looked up to them, made me feel like "wow, maybe the teenage years won't be so bad after all."  I feel so lucky and privileged that they chose me to document their night!
