Fun, Relaxed Summer Wedding at Virtue Feed & Grain (Alexandria, VA)/ Lisa & David

Love on the weekend
Love on the weekend
I’m comin’ up, and I’m lovin’ every minute of it

I usually don’t write couples’ stories on my blog. I’m not sure why, I guess it just seems invasive (after all, they’re already allowing me to share their story visually). And I don’t want to get the details wrong. But Lisa and David’s story is so cute that I have to share.

Lisa and David met in an undergraduate poetry class at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh in 2016. They talked and both thought the other one was cute - in fact, David even invited Lisa to his poetry reading (he was, apparently, quite talented) and she discussed with him whether or not to spend some time playing professional basketball in Europe (she went for it). Despite all of this, they never got together.

Fast forward to June 2020, Lisa’s back from Europe and living close to her parents in Northern Virginia. Little did she know, David was from Northern VA as well. Lisa tries a dating app and they immediately connect with each other. Finally.

And Lisa and David really do seem “meant” for each other, in the most perfect of ways. They literally glow when they see each other. Even though it was a zillion degrees, this wedding was all sorts of perfect and a true career highlight. I love love.
