Sara and Corey’s June wedding was my first time “back to work” after the quarantine that began in March. And I was NERVOUS about leaving my small bubble of family and friends.
But, luckily, I already knew Sara and Corey from their engagement session (click here to check it out) and trusted that they would make this wedding as safe as possible (and they did!!).
Originally they had planned on a blowout party with approximately 150 guests, but the total headcount ended up under 30 and (if you ask me) was perfect in every way. The day was spent almost entirely outdoors with socially distancing between groups. Even with six feet between people it was clear how much loved filled the space.
One of my favorite parts of the day was that after Sara and Corey’s livestreamed ceremony, the couple met up with the viewers on a zoom call - over 75 different groups showed up and Sara’s bridesmaids who couldn’t attend wore their gowns while watching from home.
Also, a few years ago I photographed one of Sarah’s MOH’s weddings (you can click here to check it out) and it was so great to see Hannah and Sam again!
The day was filled with so many special touches - wonderful speeches and toasts, outdoor dances with masks, and SO MUCH HAPPINESS! I felt so lucky to be a part of it all!!
