Snapshots of our December (Arlington, VA)
/Does anyone else hear 2019 and feel ancient? After spending my childhood dancing to Prince’s 1999 and wondering how crazy that party would be (sidenote - it wasn’t that crazy), it’s odd to think how long ago that all was. And by the way, have you ever read the lyrics of 1999? - pretty depressing stuff.
On a different note, December was a pretty mellow month for us. No big travel (except for a quick trip to Richmond to visit Dan’s parents). Lots of lazy days. An easy-going Christmas with Dan’s family. A super fun, yet not too crazy NYE with our favorite neighborhood friends (see some of the dance party pics below).
We made it to the Hirshhorn to see Rafael Lozano - Hemmer’s Pulse (so cool!!) before the government shutdown closed most of the museums. Some friends and I saw Second City’s She the People at Woolly Mammoth and I loved it so much that I took our whole family to see it the next weekend.
. . . .so the years/months/days fly by. “Everybody's got a bomb, we could all die any day, oh. But before I let that happen, I'll dance my life away.” (Wise wisdom my friends. Wise words).
