Snapshots of our January & February (2020) - Arlington, VA & Beyond
/These images feel like they were taken forever ago, before social distancing and Corona were all we could thing about. And, honestly, right now it feels nice to remember these easy, pandemic-free days.
All in all we had a good beginning to 2020. Besides Jamaica and Dublin (documented here and here), we ventured locally as well.
To celebrate the new year, we hiked Shenandoah National Park, which is so crazy beautiful in winter when no foliage blocks the views.
Then one of my best friends from high school came to visit with her teenage son - so we took everyone to Glenstone (they do NOT love teenagers there) and had a great time making t-shirts and eating soup at Rirkrit Tiravanija’s Fear Eats the Soul exhibit. After which we spent a few days in Philadelphia - escaping the 1980s (loved this escape room), learning about Betsy Ross, and wandering through the Magic Gardens.
Plus, the usual basketball games and volleyball tournaments. And I photographed a few weddings, families, and events (I can’t wait to share!!). All in all, a good winter. Now, we’re hunkering down at home and hoping for the best!!
