Okay, so I know I'm late to the game on this, but happy January!!
I was sort of hoping that sad tiktokers would read my newsletter while mourning their loss, but I guess that isn't going to happen. It’s been a weird few days.
I digress . . . onto happy things.

As always, this list is pretty random, but hopefully something on it will bring you joy!
1. 25 Simple Pleasures for 2025.

2. Freya and I spent the beginning of January hiking through La Gomera in Spain's Canary Islands, which was SO BEAUTIFUL! - more stories and photos here.

3. Currently Reading. Watching. Listening.

4. I am in love with the traveling grannies and their trips around the world in 80 days.

5. I'm craving pasta lately and all of these recipes look so good! Also, we signed up for Wildgrain a few months ago and I'm loving their baked goods (esp. the bread)!

6. Dan gave me this clock for Christmas and I can't stop reading it.
7. As always, I love a year-end best of list and here is a website full of them. Also, a collection of movies directed by women and about women.

8. I'm always looking for places to buy reasonably priced art and this site looks promising. Also, I really like this print.

9. Not happy at all, but the fall of Alice Munro hit me hard, as she was sort of a hero to me. I'll never understand the decisions she made regarding her daughter, but unlike several publication who rushed to publish, New Yorker did a great job researching and telling the family's story.

10. I know this sounds weird, but how gorgeous is this fruit bowl? I wonder if anywhere sells a similar product for a lower price.

BUSINESS ANNOUNCEMENT
IN 2024, 2% OF MY NET PROFITS WENT TO THE ACLU & PLANNED PARENTHOOD. AS WILL 2% OF MY 2025 PROFITS (IF THEY STILL EXIST).
I know 2% isn't a ton of money, but at least it's a start. And these are two causes in which I strongly believe.
Do you have causes you care about? This is a reminder that I offer a pay-it-forward discount for families (see question #22) where you receive $50 off the cost of your session if you give the money to charity.
