10 Happy Things for November

10 HAPPY THINGS
This year is flying by (luckily). Hopefully 2021 will bring better things, but in the meantime we're still making the best of 2020.
1. 73 Questions with Lizzo.
2. 10 Fast Fall Dinners. Also, excited to try these soups.
3. It's going to be a long winter - so if you're looking for something to do here are 62 Films that Shaped the Art of Documentary Filmmaking.
4. Speaking of movies, we watched this with the kids and had so many great discussions (keep in mind my kids are older).
5. How cute is this print/poster? (Wouldn't it make a great holiday gift?)
6. Music for fall. Also, how beautiful is this concert?
7. My kids are obsessed with this personality test - not sure how meaningful the answers are, but makes for funny family discussions (ie. how big is your cube?). This one is fun too (I hate red roses, so that made everyone laugh).
8. (As always) lots of reading/book links - Top music books of 2020. More new reads. The perfect book for 2020 (we need to come together). On my wish-list. Currently reading. Reading next. Pre-ordered. Best of journalism (last 10 years). Cookbooks. Essential feminist reads.
9. Parenting Around the World - loved these stories.
10. Since Thanksgiving is this month, I thought I'd shout out some of my friends/colleagues who helped get me through this weird year:
** Sharon gives our family the best backyard haircuts (and color for me). She's back at the salon now and she's amazing.
** Wendy Jordan Design is in the process of redecorating our front porch and I love all her ideas.
** Amanda Lessner photographed our family and the pics are amazing (a great reminder that photos with teens are just as important as photos with young kids).
** Kelly Loss and I routinely work together/ bounce ideas off each other - I'd be lost without her.
** Linda's daily emails always make me smile and keep me in the know.
** Every teacher everywhere - thank you for making our new reality workable.
** My neighborhood "bubble" - I love you all (thanks for all the White Claws, last minute happy hours, and mums/gourds/decorations).
** All of my repeat clients - I always look forward to seeing you! (esp. 4 year old Nolan who yelled as I was leaving "see you next year, Darcy!")
** And (of course) my family - Dan cooks us dinner and drives the kids to flag football, while working full time at our kitchen table (thank you!!). And my kids, who have somehow adjusted to this new crazy world and made the best of online school.
BUSINESS UPDATE
FOR FAMILY SESSIONS, I STILL HAVE A FEW NOVEMBER OPENINGS, ALONG WITH SEVERAL DECEMBER DATES.

REGARDING COVID
I am trying to be as safe as possible. I wear a mask at all sessions (both inside and outside) and continually sanitize myself (so. much. hand. sanitizer.) and my gear.
I try to keep a distance between myself and others.
